Akron Children’s Hospital set out to expand its pediatric primary care network into Jackson Township, strengthening its presence in Stark County while improving access for local families. The project began on a previously undeveloped site, requiring a full ground-up solution.
The defining challenge was speed. With a fixed one-year timeline from approval to opening, the project demanded rapid decision-making, seamless coordination, and a delivery strategy capable of compressing design, documentation, and construction into a single continuous effort.
At the same time, the facility needed to do more than function. It had to create an environment where children feel calm, comfortable, and supported throughout their care experience.
