The historic Record Rendezvous building had sat vacant for more than a decade, leaving one of Cleveland's most significant rock'n' roll landmarks at risk of being lost. Klutch Cannabis saw an opportunity to preserve the building's cultural legacy while creating a flagship dispensary that would reactivate the site and contribute to the continued revitalization of downtown Cleveland.

AVID Architects transformed the four-story historic structure into a modern retail destination while preserving the building's defining architectural character. The design restored the iconic curved storefront glass, replicated historically accurate windows, and carefully integrated modern building systems to meet contemporary code and operational requirements without compromising the building's historic integrity. Inside, the space incorporates subtle nods to Record Rendezvous and Cleveland's rock 'n' roll legacy, creating a flagship destination that reflects both the site's history and the Klutch brand.

Today, Klutch Cannabis Cleveland stands as a successful example of adaptive reuse, proving that historic preservation and modern commercial development can work hand in hand. The project transformed a long-vacant landmark into a vibrant destination that celebrates Cleveland's past while investing in its future.
